Machete and Erin met in 9th grade Honors English, but truly bonded when Erin cast Machete as the "Friar" in a gender reversed production of Romeo + Juliet. Growing up together in the Lake Tahoe area, swift connection was found over a love of movies, Fiona Apple, and a desire to head to the bright lights of a big city. They moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and have been making films and memories ever since. Does anyone have crackers to go with all this cheese?
Although they aren't blood relatives, Erin has known James Carrozo since birth as "Uncle Jimmy." Jimmy was the life and creative partner of Erin's real uncle, Ricky Granat, who passed away in 1986 from an AIDS related illness. Jimmy has remained part of the family ever since. Machete was introduced to Jimmy through Erin upon moving to LA. and it was an immediate mutual love.
In Jimmy's words: "I knew show business was for me from the age of eight. That's when I made the crowd go wild after spontaneously kissing my co-star after singing "Bicycle Built for Two" at the church's St. Patrick's Day show." He went on to act in the original L.A. cast of "Hair," performed on cruise ships around the world with his musical comedy partner Ricky, and played the Comedy Club alongside Jay Leno and Robin Williams. Continuing his 60 year career in entertainment, Jimmy has more recently been cast in multiple short films, music videos and commercials after Erin and Machete's filmmaker friends spotted him in their work. Jimmy can be seen in Vince Staples' music video "Senorita," and commercials for Dollar Shave Club and Fuji Film.
Moon Manor will be the trio's first feature film together.
